The Shadowmoon Burial Grounds is a 5-player dungeon in Warlords of Draenor, set within the sacred Draenei burial caverns of Shadowmoon Valley that have been corrupted by the necromancer Ner'zhul. Players descend through tombs and ritual sites, battling reanimated Draenei spirits and Void-tainted entities, culminating in a fight against Ner'zhul himself as he performs a dark ritual to bind his soul to the Shadowmoon clan's banner. The dungeon is noted for its atmospheric, somber aesthetic and challenging mechanics, especially the final boss, and provided important gear for entering the Highmaul raid.
